Classes for preparing for national and international examinations are available. The College Board SAT Prep class is 12 hours’ of class, divided into 3 2-hour English prep classes and 3 2-hour Math prep classes. These classes are taught by qualified, experienced Math and English teachers. The ACT Prep class is 18 hours’ of class, divided into 3 2-hour English prep classes, 3 2-hour Math prep classes and 3 2-hour Science prep classes and is taught by experienced Math, English and Science teachers. Maximum class size is 4 students.
G.E.D. prep classes are available on an individual basis. These classes prepare for the seven sections on the exam. Free practice tests are given through the PWCS Adult Education office. A+ and PWCS schools work closely in preparing students for the scheduled exams throughout the year. Classes are one-on-one.
TOEFL prep classes are available on an individual basis. These classes prepare for the exam taking online. Experienced instructors teach this class one-on-one.
Va. SOL review classes are available to students for all grade levels and subjects. These classes begin in February for March exams and in late March for the May tests. These test prep classes are incorporated into the subject areas and are taught one-on-one when appropriate.
